Dilapidated Structures Grant

The City of Follansbee will be applying for additional Dilapidated Structures Grant Funds from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to address dilapidated properties. The grant funds, if received, will be applied and expended in accordance with all grant guidelines and protocols set forth by the DEP. The City of Follansbee is offering 50/50 funding assistance to property owners for demolishing dilapidated structures. With this program, the owner would be responsible for 50% of the demolition cost, and the city would be responsible for 50% of the demolition cost. The program will be contingent on receiving grant funds from the DEP.  

If you are interested in participating in this program, please attend a Building Enforcement meeting. The Building Enforcement Agency meets on the first Monday of the month at 5pm in council chambers prior to the first city council meeting of every month.
